In October of 2022, Braun and Bailey both were at Islands- a local taco spot in Wilmington, North Carolina. Braun with his friends, and Bailey with hers. Braun saw Bailey across Islands Tex Mex, and knew she was the one. Just kidding! Kinda. Braun jokingly texted their mutual friend, "that girl you're here with is going to be my wife, give me her number".
Their first date (after a little convincing) was a long walk around the Wrightsville Beach Loop. The two instantly clicked, and have been together since. Braun and Bailey both share a love of the outdoors, adventure, and exploring God's creation. Together, the two have already explored 8 countries and three trips to their favorite place, Puerto Rico. Their favorite things to do when not exploring together include surfing, going on walks, spending time near the water, playing pickle ball and attending Church together.
When you know, you know! Braun proposed to Bailey in Kyoto, Japan on January 21st, 2025 , on a hike at Fushimi Inari, known as the 1,000 Torii Gates. A shinto shrine on the edge of Mt. Inari, in the heart of Kyoto. The two travelled Southeast Asia together January - April of 2025 after graduating from UNCW together in December of 2024. Braun, a business boy, and Bailey, a pediatric nurse.
After the trip of a lifetime, the two moved down south to Charleston, South Carolina to start their adult lives. It was time to spread their wings and move from home in Eastern NC. Embarking on a new season of life together, excited for the future to come.
Braun's favorite thing about Bailey would be her overwhelming ability to lighten up a room with her infectious smile, and her incomparable empathy. She knows just how to soften up any difficult situation. Bailey's love continues to inspire Braun on a daily basis.
Bailey's favorite thing about Braun would be his ability to make her smile, and the way he is always open to her crazy ideas. Bailey would say that Braun's love for her grounds her in a way that no one else can.
The two both love the Lord and credit Him with bringing them together, a gift that has kept on giving. Through the ups and downs, He has always shown them the path to take.
Thank you for being part of our story and celebrating our holy union together!
